Port Existing Numbers

Overview:

What numbers can we port?

Porting landline numbers

Before we begin, it is  best to contact us to check if we can transfer your number. If we can, we’ll send you a form to fill out online. This form allows us to ask your current provider to release your number.

Porting mobile numbers

To port your mobile number, just ask your current provider for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code). They should be able to give it to you right away over the phone. Do not cancel your contract with them yet. Once you have your PAC, let us know, and we’ll handle the rest.

Important points to consider

 Landline Numbers

When you transfer your landline number to our communication dashboard, your existing line will stop working on the day of the transfer. If you had broadband on that line, it will also stop. Make sure you plan ahead!

You might need to set up a new broadband service before porting your number. Do not cancel your current contract until the number has been successfully transferred. If you cancel too early, you might lose your number. Once the port is done, it’s up to you to contact your old provider to cancel any services you no longer need.

 Mobile Numbers

When you transfer your mobile number, your existing mobile service (including data) will stop on the day of the transfer. If you want to use our communication dashboard without WiFi, you’ll need a mobile data connection, so we suggest getting a SIM-only plan from a UK network provider.

If you still want to use your phone for personal calls, you’ll need to get a new SIM card with a new number.

Porting your numbers away from VoIP Business

We hope you won’t need to, but if you ever decide to leave our communication dashboard, you can port your numbers to another provider for free. Just make sure your new provider can take your number. We have agreements with most major UK providers, but we can’t guarantee your new provider will be able to do this.

We’re currently able to port geographic numbers with the following providers:

 UK Geographic Numbers

 UK National Numbers
